Some People 04:27
Some people are blessed with golden voices And some with silver tongues Some got everything they want And some can’t get enough Some wake up in the morning and the sunrise is all they got Sometimes love is the answer But most of the times is not enough Sometimes you look in the mirror And the past is all you’ve got Days are moving back and forth Worries never go Stuck in to the same routine Of smoke and alcohol But you’ve got to let go You’ve got to let go Some are blessed with sober judgement Some children never grow Some pray for righteousness Some are righteous on their own Some hide behind their finger Burry head in sand Some figure it all out And stick to the plan But they never let go They never let go
2.
Age Of Stars 02:50
The big star is falling Announcement no one is taking back We wait around to see the lights In front of us The sky is brighter Brighter than it’s ever been before It the final gift the gods give us To forget that we are lost And you’re so blue Like you’ve never been before And the lights go out, the roads are closed We can’t go home You’re so blue Like you’ve never felt at home But you smile, you smile The lonesome star is falling It’s a sad place that we live into It’s a hard time not to cry It’s hard to even try The age of stars is ending Soon we will be all alone In a cold black empty space No sky will be our home And you’re so blue Like you’ve never been before And the lights go out, the roads are closed We can’t go home You’re so blue Like you’ve never felt at home But you smile, you smile The last star is falling

Off we go We’re gonna take away your pain Teach you how to spread the blame To everyone but ourselves Blue tomorrows on their way Candle’s lit Shadow’s up on the wall Growing darker than our souls What remains just the remains of a broken heart Blue tomorrows never come What I’m afraid of Is what you’re afraid of What you’re scared of Is what I’m scared of Shine a little light We can’t die if the sun comes up Blue is always what we are I changed my name Named myself to get away From the same feeling everyday A misery was due to come A blue tomorrow had begun It’s a cloudy day We always need a little rain Death it’s just another train Where it leads nobody knows Blue tomorrows come and go But what you think of Is not what I think of And what you dream of Is not what I dream of Anyway We can forget that for today Blue will never go away It’ll be always coming back
4.
I don’t wanna face the world today Don’t wanna see anyone Leaving you wasn’t easy but we had our share of fun But when fun takes over For people like us Things start to melt down and rip out our hearts So we do what we do every time Try to forget that we’ve ever felt alright If you don’t feel like talking Baby that’s alright I just wanna see you smiling For the very last time And we’ll keep on lying Maybe talk on the phone But the spark in your eyes will be long gone And we do what we do every time Tell ourselves that things will be just fine I have a friend we don’t talk too much We just stand there make each other laugh I have a friend that I barely see But when I’ll need her she’ll be there for me When I’ll break free, I’ll break free From all those things that burn inside of me

I heard whispers I heard rumors That he was back in town And then all the sailors went drowning I had pills and I had answers I had wine stashed under the bed And then Janie came half crying to the tree house He was there / Just arrived from the sea He was there a Jesus on the tree I turned blind / Then I could see I was drunk and dislocated And all the things that mattered / Fell like shooting stars And by then I was sure I was leaving Then I could feel it / It felt like me It was a Jesus on the tree I turn the radio on / So I can hear But there is nothing but a white noise singing I couldn’t fit in / Till the moment I left I walked for miles my feet were crumbled Then I could see you / I knew it was you I knew it was a Jesus on the tree Jesus on the tree
6.
Wash away your sins Dive into the night None gets afraid of Something that want bite We still get to stay in Two different sides One is in the pavement The other in the sky We don’t even manage to get the meaning right This life is either live or stay in line to die Something that can help us fight side by side In the darkness of the spectacle reality sheds light But we don’t realize that we are under the spotlight The stage is small we barely walk we smile and take a bow Then the curtains fall We’re as lonely as we were before We think of nothing we just repost The show will go on Long after we’re gone Try not to think forget how to feel and fight The age of mediocrity seems to suit us right Don’t get so passionate about the things you like There’s no time now, the break is almost done But we don’t realize we’re in the eye of the hurricane We’ll soon get swept away Then we keep our eyes closed We think of those we loved the most We gained nothing we just dissolved The show will go on Long after we’re gone

Away We Go 05:59
We stepped outside of the house from the back door To see the changes that we’ve been told I was tossing a paper in the bed that you used to sleep in It was hard watching you go And I’m writing this letter that I mean to give you But the mailbox is broken and the lights are all turned of And I’m holding this letter like a little dying baby And I’m trying hard to let it go I wish I was carpenter like Jesus used to be Things would go easier between god and me Away we go, in the light Away we go, in the night Where time is like an old train and we can stop it any time Away we go I was wondering what’s the meaning of it all The bible, the planet or your eyes I’m in a prison and I can’t get out of But when I will I’m sure I’ll fly And this feeling always comes and goes and the pills won’t help at night But by the time I get to London I’ll be fine Away we go, in the night Away we go, in the light Where city ends and birds sing and we are happy like a child Away we go I found a note in the back of a photograph When I got out of bed And even though my eyes were hurting from the light I knew how this would end I feel like a parasite I don’t belong on earth Someday I will set free from this horror of decay Away we go, in the light Away we go, in the night Where we will live for ever and you are never gonna die Away we go
8.
Midwest 04:03
We walked around the dim lights In a parking lot somewhere The people kept talking But the city didn’t care Behind an empty store we sat And watched the cars go by We said nothing but the truth that night We said nothing anyway And airports remind you Of death you said The take you to another land But we’ll be back someday Midwest I drove through town real slow Watched your hair buried in the snow We used to pray sometimes Now to whom I don’t know Your pray to learn the truth you said I pray I never will I know deep down we both pray To be back one day Midwest
9.
I’m living in somebody else’s world It gives me comfort it keeps me warm And I’m trying to remember where I come from Something to protect of where I belong Every morning I wake up angry and sad Where is the life I dreamt of what have I done There’s a strange movement in the town I need to leave tonight but don’t feel sorry I don’t feel sorry Everybody thinks that they’re important Everyone but them will be forgotten But all we are is a dot on the map We seem so much smaller if you take a step back I’m living in somebody else’s dream I feel like I’ve done something wrong last night But I’m not sure who I’ve been And I’m trying to scream but I get chocked I hope it’s a dream, but I’m afraid it’s not I hope it’s a dream Some believe they’ll go forever But time is running faster now than ever But all we are is lost in a crowd Time, space, light someday will go out

about

If long nights, soul searching, and ruminating thoughts produced sound it would be “Dot On The Map”. Robert Sin’s second album concludes the “Huckleberries” era in the best way possible. Sensitive, heartbreaking, and well crafted lyrics unfold like chapters of a novel, focusing on love, loss, mortality, and the great challenges of our times. The singer/songwriter’s acoustic guitar is one of the record’s main focal points, which the Huckleberries beautifully frame and enrich.

“Dot on the map” is 26 year old Robert Sin’s third album. His debut was the EP “Love & Other Misdemeanors”, and it was followed by his first full length album with the Huckleberries “And The Ghosts In Between”, which was enthusiastically received by critics and fans alike.
Robert Sin started playing the piano at the age of six and the guitar around the age of 14. He started writing and recording songs at the age of 15 in his bedroom in Arta, a Greek Midwestern city.

«Υπάρχουν εξαιρετικά κομμάτια εδώ, και ο κάθε ακροατής μπορεί, οπωσδήποτε, να διαλέξει τα δικά του αγαπημένα. Όμως, ένα τουλάχιστον στέκεται υπεράνω κριτικής. Είναι το τραγούδι “False pattern recognition”. Και δεν είναι το μόνo εν τέλει... »
Φώντας Τρούσας Δισκορυχείον

«Robert Sin & The Huckleberries may now be a dot on the musical map, but given what is offered on this very impressive album, they will grow into a giant spot in no time!»
Peter Marinus www.bluesmagazine.nl
